I had an amazing four days at the American Society of Dowsers national convention this weekend. I started attending the convention 11 years ago and began speaking there 5 years ago. It’s the kind of convention where there are always about six things going on at once, so the chance of being overstimulated is extremely high…hence the lack of posts for the last several days.
This weekend a couple of particularly cool things happened -
On Sunday they had a speaker unexpectedly cancel and they asked me to repeat my presentation! I was really honored to be the person they chose to pinch hit.
Perhaps the thing that meant the most to me, though, is the way people were responding to me, not just my work. In four days, it felt like I rarely walked more than 20 feet before another person stopped me and told how I was glowing or that they saw how brightly I was shining from across the room. Men and women alike commented on my smile, my clothes, my jewelry… everything. It was a wonderful feeling and a lovely confirmation of all the work that I’ve been doing lately to clear out the old emotional junk. It’s also not lost on me that this happened during a time when I was completely in my element – learning, teaching, and growing in the midst of a group of spiritual seekers. What a great feeling!
In other news, I now have definite confirmation that Cinnamon is a girl. This is turning out to be a challenging switch for me to make. For seven months I’ve been saying “he” and now I have to switch to “she”. In my mind Cinnamon is thoroughly male. Thank goodness gender identification is easier with humans than it is with parakeets!
