OOPS! Yesterday afternoon I closed my eyes for “just a minute” at 4:00 p.m. and woke up again at 7:30 p.m. Which threw my whole evening into weirdness and I forgot to put up a post. Oh well. I’m pretty sure the world kept on turning.
A couple of weeks ago I was hanging out with my friend Melissa. She suggested a book to me called “Five Wishes” but she couldn’t remember the name of the author. I told her that I’d look it up…and promptly forgot when I got home.
The other day I was glancing down at my bookshelves and what should be sitting there….but “Five Wishes”. Not only that, it’s written by one of my favorite authors, Gay Hendricks, and I’d had it sitting on my shelf for at least a year. Absolutely crazy!!!!!!
It’s a short book and a really easy read. I’m about halfway through it and LOVING it. It’s clarifying some things that had been hanging out around the corners of my mind for a while.
**If you’re wondering why I have books on my shelves for over a year that I’ve forgotten to read, it’s because of this amazing online book swap that I’m a part of – I have shelves filled with books that I know I want to read and I’ve gotten them all for free! All I do is pay the media postage rate to send my unwanted books out to other members and then I receive credits to get books that I want. If you’re interested, check out www.paperbackswap.com. If you decide to join, I can get a referral credit, so please let me know and I’ll give you the email address I use with them.
