Poetry

Tonight I was reminded of one of the phone conversations in which I knew that MBE and I were a good match.  Wait, did I just say good?  That doesn’t really cover it appropriately.

One night, very early in our phone courtship, we were talking late into the night about…something…I have no idea what. I started reciting a poem from a favorite CD – David Whyte’s Close To Home. A few words in, MBE started reciting along with me.

I had no idea that he liked David Whyte. i certainly had no inkling that he would know that particular poem.

I think it was a moment when we both sat up and took notice.

How lucky am I?  What a miracle is this!
