A dream fulfilled – and I didn’t realize it!

I had a moment of epiphany earlier today.  How it had escaped my attention until today, I can’t imagine, but here it is: I’ve often read newspapers and magazines and thought, “I’d love to write a column someday.”

I imagined that it would be a self-help column, or maybe something that tells human interest stories about interesting people.  I didn’t know the format, but I knew that I looked forward to having a regular forum where I could write about things that interest me and people would be excited to read it.

A dream fulfilledHow did it never occur to me that I’ve been FULFILLING THAT DREAM for the last nine months?!?!?!?!?!

I started writing the Business Watch column at the Caledonian-Record in May or June last year.  I have heard that it is the most closely-read piece of the newspaper all week.

It’s not the subject that I thought I would be writing about, but it’s still a lot of fun.  And it’s all human interest stuff.  (Funny story – when they first asked me to write it I thought they were out of their minds. “I don’t know anything about business!” I whined inside my head.  Then I realized that it’s basically a gossip column about what’s going on in our business community.  Problem solved.  I can do that! 🙂 )

And I’ve also got this forum, The Miracle Journal, to write about the personal development and self-help stuff that interests me.  I’ve got the best of all possible worlds!  Except that it’s undoubtedly getting better…  🙂

Earlier this evening I spent some time on the phone with Pamela Vandervoort, a dating coach.  She had contacted me last week about her upcoming program called “Single To Engaged”.

I was really happy to talk with her because she’s so happy and sparkly.  I think that she’s going to be a really exciting person to work with.  She’s going to be doing a FREE teleseminar on March 29 at 8:30 PM EST/5:30 PM PST and I’m looking forward to taking part in it.  As I prepare myself to re-enter the dating world, I think this will be a great way to start!

This is a good idea! Good luck for entering in a dating world…I think a lot of singles can do it too if they want to make their life colorful and meaningful…
