Pictures and pullovers

meatballs

Hi all,

I’ve just returned from speaking at a day-long conference in Ottawa, Canada.  I met some terrific people and I’m looking forward to sharing the videos that I shot with you soon.

One of the loveliest things that happened was sitting for a while with a woman named Monica. She said to me, “You’re …

My favorite baby-squared

the-girls

You may recall some mentions of my favorite baby in the world.  She has grown up enough now that I have to call her my favorite little girl in the world.

She stole my heart the first time I met her because there’s a special spark of sweet impishness in her eyes. I love how …

Finding my mother again

Now that's some good Momma Lovin'! :-)

Those of you who know me know that my mother and I are quite close. Upon reading a title like Finding my mother, your first reaction is probably “I didn’t know you’d lost her.”  Well, neither did I.  Or, to be more precise, until this weekend I didn’t realize quite how close I had come …

An unexpected baby

Leta Hamilton

Tonight’s guest post comes from Leta Hamilton.  I cannot tell a lie – it brought a tear (or six) to my eyes when I read it:

As I write this, I am holding our three-month-old fourth son. After our third, my husband had a vasectomy. Two years later, I was into personal fitness again – …

The freedom of childhood

DSCN0591

Over the weekend I got to spend an evening with my friend Bethany and her adorable 2-year-old daughter T. We hadn’t seen each other in a while, so this was the first time I got to meet T. She’s a bundle of energy and a firecracker.  She was also amazingly willing to entertain herself with …

Growing up

Growing_old_inevitable

I am not old.  Let’s just be clear about that.  However I am, apparently, aging.  Recently I’ve had two people say to me variations of “Well, you’re 37, so you’re coming to the end of your fertile years.”  Here’s the issue – don’t these people know that I STILL FEEL 25?!?!?!?

Okay, it’s true that …
